The Lacey Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying an alleged robber accused of charging a store employee with a knife.

Lacey police said the male suspect entered Home Depot on Marvin Road NE on January 18 and stole several items.

When confronted by a loss prevention officer, the man displayed a knife and charged toward the employee, authorities said.

The subject fled the scene on a bicycle. Police have established probable cause for first-degree robbery.

Surveillance footage captured the man wearing a mask covering his entire face, except for his eyes, while holding a Home Depot bucket and other items. Another photo shows the man without the mask on, wearing a dark hoodie, a blue puffer jacket, and black pants.

Those with information about the incident were urged to call the Lacey Police Department at 360-459-4333 or CrimeStoppers at 800-222-TIPS and reference case 2023-0300.

He's lucky. I've seen people carrying handguns in that Home Depot. And had he lunged at one of them with a knife, the gun owner would have been exonerated for killing the guy in self defense. The gun owner would have done the community a favor.

Any bets he'll be back? Or in another store?
