Preserving a Living Memorial to Our Veterans

Join the Olympia Historical Society and Bigelow House Museum for this free community event at Madison Elementary School.

Historian Jennifer Crooks will present the history of the Legion Way trees, planted in 1928 in memory of soldiers lost in World War I and the Spanish-American war.

Attendees will be able to enjoy a performance by the American Legion band, plant trees to fill in gaps in the memorial, dedicate a new interpretive sign for the Olympia Armory, and enjoy refreshments and conversation.
