Pruning for Novices at Closed Loop Park Demonstration Garden

The workshop will focus on the basics of pruning various ornamental plants. The following will be covered: Pruning tools, the methods of pruning different plant types (trees, shrubs, and multi-stem plants), different pruning cuts (good and bad ones), and the steps of pruning. Resources will be provided.

Attendees will be walking throughout the park discussing and demonstrating different pruning techniques.

The level of activity is light. The surfaces will be paved, gravel, and grass. No need to bring any tools. Attendees will be outside for the duration of this presentation. Please plan clothing and footwear accordingly. Meet at the Gazebo. Free and open to all!
