Puget Sound Estuarium invites community to Turn of the Tides: Holiday Bazaar and Solstice Celebration

The Puget Sound Estuarium invites the community to its annual Turn of the Tides winter festival on Saturday,  December 9 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Olympia Center.

This family-friendly event promises a day filled with festivities, hands-on activities, and opportunities to connect with local organizations.

Admission is free, making it an accessible and enjoyable event for all.

Attendees will have the chance to engage in various activities, including arts and games suitable for all ages.

One of the festival's highlights is the Estuarium touch tank, where visitors can get up close and personal with sea stars, shellfish, crabs, and more.

The interactive experience aims to foster a deeper appreciation for marine life and the delicate ecosystems of Puget Sound.

Warm drinks will be available for sipping as attendees learn from local community organizations present at the event, providing insights and information about their conservation efforts.

Art enthusiasts will not be disappointed, as the festival provides an opportunity to purchase unique eco-inspired artwork from local artists.

The showcased artwork will include pieces from La Chingona Creativa, Snail Bear Art, KJR Print, Gray Makes Prints, Bobtail Arts Studio, Cloud Sprout Designs, Gallery Boom, South Sound Soapery, and Lizzay Shehan Studio.
