Olympia nonprofit Puget Sound Estuarium announced it is seeking individuals interested in joining its board of directors.
Board members guide the trajectory of Estuarium, from attending meetings to participating in committees. Each appointment typically lasts for three years.
“We are seeking passionate individuals to contribute diverse perspectives and skills to help us grow and create an educated and inspired community,” the Estuarium said in the announcement.
The Estuarium provides accessible public programs, such as K-12 field trips, a marine discovery center and much more.
“The members of our board, staff, and volunteers are a fun and inspiring group to work with. Together we have developed an engaging, professional, and impactful community that supports our mission and each other,” the nonprofit said.
The Estuarium seeks individuals with a deep commitment to its mission and a passion for making a difference in our community.
The nonprofit welcomes applicants with diverse viewpoints and backgrounds, and encourages active participation in fundraising efforts, community outreach and strategic planning.
The ideal candidates possess a range of skills and experiences, including but not limited to:
