An effort is underway to remove Thurston County Commissioner Emily Clouse from office.
A recall petition was filed with the county on Thursday, Dec. 12, and is being processed by the Thurston County Auditor’s Office.
The petition, which was filed by Arthur West, represents the first step in the recall process.
“Petitioner Arthur West, a registered voter in Thurston County, Washington, hereby demands the recall and discharge of Emily Clouse from her office as a Commissioner of Thurston County, pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, sections 33 and 34 of the Washington State Constitution and Title 29A.56 RCW, for of acts of misfeasance and/or malfeasance while in office, and for violations of her Oath of Office, as specified in Exhibits 1 and 2, appended and incorporated herein,” the petition states.
The petition is based on a memorandum and a report released by Thurston County on Nov. 26.

Ms. Clouse might want to resign before this petition turns in its signatures. She has cost the county plenty already.

West should try Getting someone elected for starters.

Arthur West isn't the best messenger or spokesperson for the recall but who cares? The issue is Emily and her inexcusable behavior. She needs to go and on that I think a healthy majority will agree.
