Repeat shoplifting suspect arrested after alleged theft from Lowe's in Lacey

Posted

A man with a history of shoplifting incidents at Lowe’s Home Improvement was arrested on Feb. 20 after police linked him to a recent theft at the store at 5610 Corporate Center Lane SE in Lacey.

According to a Lacey Police Department report, the suspect, identified as Vishwa Rohila, was seen on surveillance footage stealing a DeWalt drill and battery valued at approximately $388 on Jan. 24.

The footage reportedly captured the suspect using a knife to remove security devices before placing the items in a backpack, and then leaving the store without paying.

Further investigation revealed that the 44-year old suspect had previously been banned from the store due to past theft-related offenses.

Officers later attempted to locate him at his last known address, but were initially unsuccessful on Feb. 20.

However, later that day, officers spotted a Honda Accord sedan linked to the suspect at the residence and made contact with him.

The suspect denied returning to Lowe’s and refused to allow officers to search the car and house for stolen merchandise.

He was taken into custody without incident and booked into Thurston County Jail on charges of second-degree burglary and third-degree theft.

KEEP him in jail. Obviously he has nothing but contempt for the law, he's already demonstrated that he refuses to change his ways. Why should he? There are no consequences for his thefts. Apparently judges will let him out with a hand slap. I hope Lowe's prosecutes him. And let's see a picture of him without a mask, TCSO! Please!

apparently he's already been released, he's not on the TC jail roster.

Any bets he'll be back at Lowes?
