The Thurston County Resource Hub is inviting people to its second annual Block Party on Wednesday, Aug. 13.
The free event, which is being held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 929 Lakeridge Drive SW in Olympia, is going to feature live music, food, games and activities for all ages.
"Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with more than 70 local organizations and eight mobile units offering resources in housing, employment, behavioral health, public benefits, legal assistance, health screenings, haircuts, pet grooming, vet care, and more," said Thurston County in annoucing the event.
The Resource Hub is located at the Thurston County Courthouse Campus. The hub serves as a drop-in resource center for people with behavioral health needs who are impacted by the justice system.
"The Hub is open four days a week and offers support during tough times for community members. Staff can help navigate community resources, including behavioral health, employment, education, housing, public benefits, health care, and legal support," the county said.
"Representatives from county, state, and community-based social service programs are on-site and ready to help explore options for support."
