Gun found in stolen car

Seven robbery suspects were arrested by authorities after being linked to a robbery that transpired last month at a local gym in Olympia.

“The victim reported that his car keys were stolen out of his locker, and there were now people inside his vehicle”, Olympia Police Department (OPD) stated in a social media post.

When confronted, the robbers attacked the victim and fled in the rented silver Lexus.

The rented car's registered owner was notified by police, who then used their Apple AirTag to find the stolen vehicle.

The car was traced to the Seattle area and the Seattle Police Department located the vehicle and detained “seven individuals associated with the car.”

An OPD officer traveled to Seattle and used the photo and data from the check-in at the gym before the theft to identify one of the suspects.

A video conference with the victim helped police to identify three more accomplices.

The suspects were taken into custody and charged with attempted robbery in the second degree at the Thurston County Jail.

A 9mm handgun was also found after a search warrant on the silver Lexus was carried out.

OPD added that "additional charges of unlawful possession of a firearm were forwarded to the prosecutor for review".

I certainly hope that they get locked up...and the jail loses the key for a few months.
