Capitol Land Trust (CLT) and Puget Sound Estuarium are hosting their annual Salmon Experience at Bayshore Preserve on November 9, 10, and 11, 2024 from 10 am – 2 pm. Salmon Experience is a great way to get up close with the annual salmon run and grow an appreciation for nature.
Witness one of nature’s most extraordinary displays of migration and resilience. Every fall thousands of chum salmon return from the ocean to Johns Creek at CLT’s Bayshore Preserve where their lives began. Here they spawn, marking the transition of one generation of salmon to the next.
During Salmon Experience, volunteer salmon docents will be at Bayshore Preserve to celebrate the return of salmon and answer visitor questions. Underwater cameras will be on display each day so visitors can get an up-close look at the fish. Spanish/English interpretation will be available on November 9 and 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Stop by and say hello!
