The Thurston County Sheriff's Office is turning to the public for information on the murder of Karen Bodine in January 2007.
Her body was found at the entrance of a gravel pit located off of Littlerock Road SW, north of Rochester. She was 37 years old.
"The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office continues to actively investigate the death of Karen Bodine and is urging anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward," said Sheriff Derek Sanders in a social media post on Thursday, Jan. 15.
"Investigators are working diligently to follow up on all leads and piece together the circumstances surrounding this tragic loss."

Additionally, the public is invited to attend a vigil for Bodine on Thursday, Jan. 22, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., near the intersection of Littlerock Road SW and Sargent Road SW.
