Shoestring Circus returns to Olympia in June to perform new show

The Shoestring Circus will visit Olympia for "The Museum" — a playful, high-flying tribute to art in motion.

The show will be held under the big top tent next to the Swantown Marina near Market Street in Olympia, with multiple daily shows on June 27-29 and July 3-6.

“This all-ages experience transforms a traditional circus tent into a living gallery, where jugglers, acrobats, aerialists, and contortionists bring masterpieces to life with heart, humor, and gravity-defying skill,” states a circus news release sent to The JOLT News.

Cast members include world-class performers from Cirque du Soleil, Broadway, world record holders and more.

“Expect inventive visuals, thrilling stunts, and a show that blends spectacle with storytelling in the most unexpected ways,” the news release states.

The show is approximately 90 minutes long with a 15-minute intermission. The tent opens 40 minutes before showtime.

Tickets are priced at $16 for children ages 3–13, $33 for adults and $48 for the front row. Early reservations are encouraged.

Food concession stands are available, serving popcorn, freshly spun cotton candy, water and cold beverages.

There is also a merchandise booth with various handmade items, including earrings from pieces of the tent, coloring books featuring show images, circus toys, stickers and locally printed clothing options.

More details can be found on the circus website.
