A shoplifting complaint at Home Depot in Lacey led to the discovery of an alleged retail theft ring that's resulted in approximately $400,000 in loses for retail stores.

The discovery stemmed from a report about a theft on Saturday, July 25.

Lacey Police Department patrol officers responded to the report. Upon arrival, store staff told officers the suspects had stolen $2,600 in building supplies.

"Officers arrived and arrested three adult males for felony theft. All store property was recovered and returned," said the Lacey Police Department in a social media post on Monday, July 27.

The department added that the suspects, who were not identified, own a construction company.

"Working with asset protection, officers learned this group has been stealing from retail stores in several counties along (Interstate 5) for two years. The store estimates a total loss of $400,000," said the Lacey Police Department in the post.

"We will continue to work with the store and regional law enforcement partners to investigate all of the thefts and hold the suspects accountable for organized retail theft. Additional charges will be coming. Great job to patrol for their hard work on this!"

Good catch and put those thieves in jail. This wasn't pocketing a pack of batteries, these blankety blanks are professionals. It's why construction material is so expensive in the first place. Talk about bold arse broad daylight theft!!

I want the name of the construction company if nothing else. The sooner these arsewipes are in prison, the better for all of us.
