Slower northbound traffic on I5

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) advises northbound motorists of slower movement today and tomorrow with the temporary closure of a lane approaching the exit to US 101.

Workers are installing a guardrail on the section from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. from September 19 to 20, with traffic backups taking place during those times.

“The work is being done during daytime hours for safety reasons,” WSDOT explained.

Drivers are encouraged to:

• Consider traveling early in the morning or later in the day.
• Reschedule or combine discretionary travel if possible.
• Slow down and avoid distractions.
