Khanh Pham, a student from the South Puget Sound Community College, has been selected for the prestigious 2025 All-USA Academic Team Scholarship. The selection comes with a $5,000 award.
In a news release sent to The JOLT News, the college stated Pham was one of the 20 college students selected from nearly 2,100 nominees.
"The All-USA program is a prestigious recognition of a student's exceptional abilities both in and outside of the classroom,” said Amanda Karpinski-Gorman, Interim Director of the Phi Theta Kappa Foundation, in a statement.
The All-USA program is one of the country’s leading academic honors for students pursuing an associate degree handed out by honor society Phi Theta Kappa.
Each institution may nominate two students with known for academic excellence, leadership and citizenship.
“These students are selected for their resilience, creativity, and ingenuity in tackling global and local challenges. We are incredibly proud of the individuals named to the 2025 team and eagerly anticipate the continued impact they will make," Karpinski-Gorman added.
The program also honors students who use their community college experience to improve themselves, aid their schools and impact their communities.
“Pham was recognized for his academic achievements, campus and community engagement and overall leadership,” the news release states. “He enrolled in SPSCC’s computer science program because he believes technology can create change.”
Inspired by his brother who was diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, Pham created an online platform, named JIA Community, for patients and caregivers to share experiences and find resources.
