South Sound Climate Action Convention

Posted

The South Sound Climate Action Convention (previously held in 2016 through 2019) is an opportunity for the community to gather to discuss the state of climate planning and progress in Thurston County.

It's a time to collaborate on ways we can take action together to ensure a low-carbon future and resilience for all, especially our most vulnerable populations.

There will be a review on the progress of the Thurston Climate Mitigation and Resilience Plans.

The Morning Plenary Speaker will be KC Golden: We Have the Power.

KC Golden is a national leader in the climate movement, a clean energy advocate, and policy architect.

The Afternoon Plenary Speaker will be Denny Heck: Yes, We Can Do This!

Denny Heck is Washington State's Lieutenant Governor (subject to availability). If he becomes unavailable, Stew Henderson will speak.
