StoryOly is Olympia's premiere Story Slam event. Created in 2015 and modeled after The Moth, community members come together to share and tell true stories based on a theme. StoryOly aims to encourage and develop community engagement and connection through the medium of storytelling.

StoryOly is hosted by Elizabeth Lord
Elizabeth Lord has worked professionally as a storyteller since 1992. She has written and produced multiple full-length storytelling shows using material mined from her own life experiences and regularly offers storytelling workshops to the public. She is a member of the South Sound Story Guild, and co-creator and current producer/host of Olympia's monthly storytelling slam event, StoryOly.
