Subfreezing overnight lows ahead in Thurston County

Sub-freezing overnight lows coupled with dense fog should make for some bone-chilling conditions this week in Thurston County.

The National Weather Service Office in Seattle forecast calls for an overnight low around 28 degrees on Monday, Jan. 19, into Tuesday, Jan. 20, with dense freezing fog early Tuesday morning.

Areas of dense fog should persist from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday. Otherwise, partly sunny skies and a high near 46 degrees. The overnight low should be around 29 degrees with a calm wind.

Conditions should be similar on Wednesday, Jan. 21, with areas of dense freezing fog before noon. The daytime high should be near 46 degrees with a calm wind. The overnight low should be around 29 degrees.

The daytime highs should be near the mid-40s through the remainder of the work week, with overnight lows around 31 degrees. Forecasts are subject to change.
