Northwest Folklife and Whippoorwill Arts collaborated to produce the SuperFolk Festival, which was co-presented by Tacoma Arts Live and the Washington State Historical Society. This two-day festival displays the brilliance, depth, and breadth of folk music, showcasing its ability to connect traditions of the past while opening new pathways into the future.
SuperFolk will be held at the WSHM on October 21-22, 2022, and will feature Washington-based artists invited by NW Folklife as well as national/international artists from Whippoorwill Arts' Fellowship program.
The set on Friday and Saturday evenings will feature short performances by all of our performers. The midday set on Saturday will feature a variety of performance installations woven across the museum's halls.
