I am supporting Wayne Fournier for County Commissioner.
As mayor of Tenino, Wayne has really improved Tenino. The Tenino Park, and the Quarry Pool, are the best they have ever been.
City residents pay the majority of County property taxes. We should get a fair share of County expenditures, but we do not. The Sheriff is irrelevant to us. The land use actions affect us indirectly. But there are three County-provided services we do use: Public Health, Parks, and Trails.
The County trail network is the County service that is most important to me. We cycle and walk on the Chehalis-Western trail every week.
Wayne Fournier has been an absolute champion for the expansion of the trail network. The extension of the Yelm-Tenino trail, both into Pierce County and south from Tenino is important. The construction of the Gate-Belmore trail, from Tumwater south to the Rochester area, will be a huge benefit to the entire community.
I believe that Wayne Fournier will work for ALL residents of Thurston County, not just for the rural residents who currently pay a minority of the taxes but get a majority of the service.

Mr. Lazar has always been a proponent of liberal left-wing causes. This endorsement epitomizes his stance for the same old, out-of-step direction Thurston County does NOT want to go. Thurston County is broke, and Lazar wants to continue the exorbitant spending that has resulted in our budget issues. And, Fournier is a narcissist. Ask anyone who lives in T90.

I support Democrat Wayne Fournier. I do not want a MAGA Commissoner.
According to the Public Disclosure Commission, at least 25% of Eason’s campaign funding comes from the Republican Party. The evidence also suggests that she is not only a Republican, but that she is a MAGA extremist. In a comment responding to a letter to the editor after the vote in the U.S. House of Representatives to impeach Trump over the Jan. 6 insurrection, she was critical of Jaime Herrera Beutler’s vote to impeach, accusing her of being a “Democratic puppet.”
Vote for the Democrat in the race.

If city residents get a say in county expenditures, land use, etc., shouldn't county residents get a say in city jurisdictional happenings. For example, voting for council? I don't believe either of these things should happen, but fair is fair.
