On November 1, a routine welfare check resulted in the discovery of a deceased female in her 50s inside her residence off 44th Ave NW in Thurston County.
Thurston County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO), in a news release posted on their social media, reported that a concerned party had contacted law enforcement and asked for authorities to visit the residence of the female resident.
“The deputy checked the house, and nothing looked out of place based on what could be seen through the windows.”
Following the initial check, the deputy returned to the house to leave a note, as requested by the reporting party, a man emerged from the house as the deputy returned to the residence and spoke to the deputy.
The news release said that the man informed the deputy that the woman was deceased and inside the home. Detectives responded to the scene to start an investigation into the matter.
During their inquiry, they gathered enough evidence to establish probable cause for the man's arrest.
The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Thurston County Jail and charged with murder 2 domestic violence.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing, with law enforcement authorities urging anyone with information to contact the detectives through their email.
