A suspect in Wednesday’s Deschutes Parkway shooting that injured one man has been arrested, the Washington State Patrol announced Friday.

“The suspect in the Deschutes Pkwy shooting was taken into custody this evening with the assistance of [Olympia police] and McCleary Police,” the State Patrol said on Twitter.

The suspect was booked at the Thurston County Jail, State Patrol Trooper Robert Reyer told The JOLT. Reyer was not immediately able to confirm what the suspect was booked for.

The Deschutes Parkway shooting on Wed., Oct. 27, led to a man being rushed to a hospital due to non-life-threatening injuries. No further updates on his condition have been released so far.

Olympia Public Works temporarily blocked Deschutes Parkway between Lakeridge and Fifth Avenue following the shooting but the roadway was reopened on Thursday morning.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident and called on people with knowledge about the shooting to send tips to sistips@wsp.wa.gov.

The shooter also made an appearance in the JOLT News on 9/15/2021 police blotter. The report -

On 9/15/2021 at 6:40 p.m. in the 5900 block of Crimson Ct SE, police arrested Brett Michael Hale, 35, on suspicion of 1) har***ment - threats to kill, 2) malicious mischief in the third degree, and 3) felon in possession of firearm.

So why a was a felon in possession of a firearm allowed out of custody? Is the problem with the DA or the judiciary?
