Suspect rams vehicles in car chase

Thurston County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) released a report on social media involving a suspect caught stealing from a property off Waddle Creek Road SW.

Confronted by the property owner, the suspect responded by ramming the owner's vehicle before fleeing the scene.

A TCSO deputy was in the vicinity and promptly began pursuing the suspect, who attempted to escape by turning into another driveway and ramming the patrol vehicle.

The deputy emerged unharmed from the collision and continued the chase.

“The deputy was not injured, and the suspect was arrested and will be booked on numerous felony charges, including possessing a stolen vehicle,” TCSO stated.

One commenter on the story, Daryl Palmer said, “That’s my son’s truck that was stolen from Home Depot on Phones Road a couple months ago. Surprised the guy was local. Too bad he destroyed the truck. It’s in our yard now, but not salvageable. At least my son has closure.”
