Three arrested over Rochester High School burglary

Three people were arrested after allegedly breaking into Rochester High School to steal lawn equipment and an attempt to steal a truck.

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were dispatched to the school on July 3 after a burglary complaint.

Deputies learned that three individuals took apart a gate to enter the campus and stole multiple pieces of lawn equipment, as well as tried to steal a truck that was on the school grounds, by breaking a window and damaged the ignition in the process.

Security footage from the well-placed surveillance system helped in identifying the individuals. Deputies later located all three of them and booked them for multiple crimes.

Some of the stolen items were returned to the school, while others had already been sold.
