The Thurston Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approved housing contracts with nine non-profit organizations to fund 12 projects for homeless services and affordable housing.
Homeless and Affordable Housing Coordinator Keylee Marineau said the combined total estimated amount of the housing contracts is $1,508,271 for the 2023 program year.
“We received 15 applications for these funding sources and the Homeless Services Advisory Board did review and score all the applications and made these recommendations to the full Regional Housing Council (RHC),” reported Marineau during the BOCC meeting on Tuesday, June 6.

Marineau said the Lived Experience Housing Steering Committee contract will begin on September 1, while the remaining contracts will begin on July 1, 2023 and end on June 30, 2024.
She added that all contracts are valid for a year, with an expectation that contracts will be renewed for a second year, “if funding is available and performance is acceptable.”
