Thurston County Auditor’s Elections Division sends out special election ballots to military and overseas voters

In preparation for the upcoming Special Election on Tuesday, February 13, the Thurston County Auditor’s Elections Division announced that it has successfully mailed more than 8,934 Special Election ballots to military and overseas voters registered in Thurston County.

The distribution is part of the county's commitment to ensuring that every eligible voter has the opportunity to participate in the democratic process.

For military and overseas voters, the Auditor stated that “ballot envelopes must be signed and dated by Election Day, which is slated for February 13, 2024.“

“Ballot envelopes must be signed and dated by Election Day or received via email or fax by 8 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on Election Night, February 13, 2024,” the office added. For those not in the military or overseas, the Elections Division will commence mailing ballots on January 24.

These voters can either postmark their ballots by Election Day or submit them in designated drop boxes by 8:00 p.m. on Election Night.

If military and overseas voters have not received their ballots by Monday, January 22, contact the Elections Division at 360.786.5408 or via email to request a replacement ballot.
