The Thurston County Museum of Fine Arts (TCMOFA) is holding its first-ever photography exhibition featuring Washington-based artists.

The exhibition, billed as "QUOTATION/MYTH," examines photographic images made in the 21st century through the lens of seven local photographers in a show curated by David Hoekje.

Participating artists include Jonah Barnett, Lindsey Dalthorp, Jolie Maya-Altshuler, Griffin Quinn, Stuart Rosemurgy, Dylan Safranek and Konya.

“Through a plethora of prints, objects, and mixed media presentations explore the nuanced and ever changing truths and fictions invented and discovered by photographic images,” the museum said in an announcement about the exhibition.

The exhibit opens at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, highlighting a wide variety of photographic techniques and mediums. The exhibit closes on Sept. 13.

More information on the exhibit is available on the museum’s website.

TCMOFA is an art museum presenting public exhibitions at 120 Olympia Ave. NE in Olympia. The museum features free admission.
