A narcotics investigation led to a major drug bust in Thurston County on Monday, Aug. 4, resulting in the arrest of one man and the seizure of large quantities of illegal drugs, firearms and cash.
The Thurston County Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at a home in the 300 block of School Street SE on Monday. The operation was the result of an extended investigation into suspected drug distribution activity in the area, said the task force said in a social media post.
Investigators recovered 21 pounds of various illegal drugs from the residence, including cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, MDMA (ectasy), LSD, psilocybin mushrooms, adderall, alprazolam and DMT (dimethy/tryptamine).
Authorities also found drug packaging materials, digital scales and a firearm identified as a polymer pistol without a serial number. Ammunition and other firearm components were also collected.
In addition to the drugs and weapons, officers seized $116,000 in cash, along with jewelry, collectibles, and a 2025 Toyota Camry believed to be connected to the suspect’s activities.
The suspect was taken into custody at the scene. He was booked into the Thurston County Correctional Facility and is facing multiple felony charges related to drug distribution and firearms possession.
The operation was carried out by the Thurston County Narcotics Task Force, which includes members of the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office, Washington State Department of Community Corrections, and the Department of Homeland Security.
Additional support was provided by specialized units from the Lacey and Olympia Police Departments, Tacoma Police Department, and the FBI’s Olympia office.
Authorities have not released the identity of the suspect. An investigation is ongoing.

I was burglarized a while back. Would it be possible for me to see if any of that jewelry is mine?

The Rants Group can ask a little bit more for the County's new justice center. Our local economy at work!
