Howl-o-ween Adoption Event, Saturday, October 14, 12 p.m. - 3 p.m.
Adopt a dog! Join KXXO Mixx 96.1 and Jenni’s Rescue Ranch for the Howl-o-ween Adoption Event at Carpet Liquidators on Martin Way in Lacey on Saturday, October 14, 2023, noon - 3 p.m. KXXO’s Dave Cowan, who loves his five dogs, will be broadcasting live and speaking with some of the pets available for adoption. 2023 South Sound Clam Chowder Challenge, Monday, October 9, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Who has the best chowder in Thurston County? Try several and vote for your favorites. Your admission fee includes "heavy appetizers" (hot dogs, bratwurst, grilled cheese) and tickets to taste-test all 13 chowders. Click this link for more details.

Compression-only CPR with AED training, Friday, October 13, from 7:30 a.m.
These 1 - 1.5-hour classes meet nationally recognized criteria for CPR training in the workplace.  Classes are FREE to those who live or work in Thurston County. Click this link for more details.
