Travel Advisory 1 of 2: If you're heading south from Tacoma on I-5 this weekend

From 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, March 13-14, southbound Interstate 5 will be reduced to two lanes approaching the Nisqually River Bridge.

WSDOT requests your assistance

• Travel early or reschedule travel to the early afternoon
• Add extra time
• Consider consolidating or eliminating discretionary trips

Weekend lane closures allow Washington State Department of Transportation bridge maintenance crews to conduct annual bridge cleaning. Bridge cleaning improves the efficiency of WSDOT’s bridge inspection program and helps keep each bridge in good working order.
