Treasure books are based on traditional Zhen Xian Bao (Chinese Thread Books) but go beyond the traditional format.
Zhen Xian Bao (Chinese Thread Books) is made up of layers of folded pockets of different sizes in a portfolio-style cover.
In this class, students will learn and practice several different methods to make four traditional pocket forms. Then, they will work on making books with both hard and soft covers, in different sizes, with different closures, and different numbers and arrangements of pockets. No prior experience is needed.
