The Tumwater Police Department (TPD) welcomed a new member on Tuesday afternoon, April 8, when Kasey Steffenhagen was sworn in.
TPD Acting Chief Jay Mason presided over the swearing-in ceremony
"Officer Steffenhagen previously worked as a sheriff's deputy for the Stafford County Sheriff's Office in Virginia. We are excited that she chose to continue her law enforcement career by serving the citizens of Tumwater, and we look forward to her completing her field training," the TPD said in a social media post.
"Officer Steffenhagen had family and friends in attendance at today's ceremony, as well as Mayor (Debbie) Sullivan, who presented her with the notorious City of Tumwater pen. Please join us in welcoming Officer Steffenhagen to Tumwater."
