Tumwater will hold its annual Tumwater Artesian Family Festival and Thunder Valley Fireworks Show today from 4 p.m. to midnight to cap its Independence Day celebrations.
Considered the largest fireworks display in the county, the celebration also features food, music and games at the Tumwater Valley Golf Course driving range.
Event gates open at 6 p.m. with parking opening at 5:30 p.m.; the fireworks show begins at 10:15 p.m.
The city advised that no pets, alcohol or personal fireworks are allowed at the festival.
Traffic along Tumwater Valley Drive will be closed during the event, except for authorized personnel and vehicles, according to the city.
E Street Southeast will remain open for access to the event parking lot starting 5:30 p.m. with a parking fee of $10 per vehicle.
