Tumwater’s Boston Street closed at night for Tuesday, Wednesday next week

Tumwater’s Boston Street from Custer Way SW to Deschutes Parkway SW will be closed to traffic from 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, and 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 6 to 5 a.m. Thursday, September 7.

Motorists are encouraged to detour via E Street between Capitol Blvd and Deschutes Parkway during these times and follow flaggers and traffic controller’s directions as they navigate through the work site.

“Please drive slowly through the work zone and comply with all instructions from flaggers, the city said. “Plan ahead and take alternate routes if possible.”

According to the city’s press release, the street will be closed to complete necessary maintenance on Boston Street, which includes grinding the existing pavement and then repaving and restriping the road.

Boston Street will be reopened to traffic during daytime hours.
