Two inmates were arrested at Thurston County Corrections Facility after deputies discovered they were in possession of alleged narcotics during a routine investigation.
According to a Thurston County Sheriff’s Office report, jail staff identified suspicious activity involving the two inmates and reported the matter to deputies on Sept. 7.
An internal review led to the discovery of controlled substances on two individuals identified as Humberto Aguire-Morrison, 20, and Donny Winbush, 56, which is an alias for Donnald Bender, the report states.
Testing conducted with a portable mass spectrometer indicated the substances were dimethyltryptamine (DMT) and methamphetamine.
Following the results, deputies arrested both Aguire-Morrison and Winbush for possession of a controlled substance in a correctional facility.

Overtaxed: Very recent articles in the Daily Olympian explain that the drugs get into the county jail in balloons that the inmates swallow before they're taken to the jail. No staff or deputies bring in the drugs, and inmates have no family visits in the jail. The WA Dept. of Health this year mandated a low scanning level, so that the drugs-in-balloon are not readily visible with the scanner when inmates enter the jail. As a result, inmates have died from overdoses recently in this jail.
