A pair of suspects have been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting that killed two teenage boys in Lacey.
The suspects were taken into custody for their alleged roles in a shooting that killed Alexander M. Borgen, 16, of Lacey, and his brother, Deven J. Borgen, 17, of Rainier, on Friday, Nov. 14.
Trequanne Trenelle Wilson-Mason, 20, of Lacey, was taken into custody by Lacey Police Department investigators after he was located at a hotel in Wenatchee on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
He is being held at Thurston County Corrections Facility. Wilson-Mason faces two counts of murder in the first degree and two counts of drive-by shooting.
“Additionally, he is held on a no-bail felony warrant for violation of a court order related to a February 2025 felony domestic violence case in Lacey,” the police department said in an update on the shooting.
A second suspect, identified as Jaden Hawk Johns, 20, of Thurston County, was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 19, after a high-speed pursuit that ended in Pierce County.
The vehicle Johns was driving was stopped after a Thurston County Sheriff’s Office deputy used a pursuit intervention technique, also known as a PIT maneuver, at 117 miles per hour. The maneuver caused the suspect’s vehicle to roll.
“The suspect was ejected from the vehicle, but sustained only minor injuries,” said Sheriff Derek Sanders in a social media post. “An AR15 with a 60 round magazine was also ejected from the vehicle, with numerous additional firearms observed in the car. The patrol vehicle sustained no damage from the PIT.”
Johns also faces two counts of murder in the first degree and two counts of drive-by shooting. He is being held without bail at Thurston County Corrections Facility, records show.
An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
