Boatyarddog....do you think the gun just went off by itself? Time for someone to start parenting and monitoring their children's activities.

Boatyarddog - is your solution collecting all the guns in the USA, (that would be quite a process)? Will that prevent criminals from committing crimes? Taxpayer - well done, blaming this on poor parenting when you cannot possibly know the circumstances of why the victims were where they were. Both of you very weak to write what you wrote, casting blame or promoting an agenda without knowing what happened is incredibly inapt.

@HappyOlympian, So what would you suspect a 16 & 17 YO were doing at 2AM in the morning? Up to no good I would say.

@boatyarddog - What guns laws are you referring to? The alleged shooter was 20 years of age. In washington state you need to be 21 years old to purchase a concealable handgun which was the assumed weapon used to murder these two boys.

How could someone obtain a handgun without following the proper means of purchasing it?

Hear this once and for all... If someone wants to MURDER someone and NOT GET CAUGHT, they will not be following any GUN LAWS to do. This is not a gun law issue, it's a national mental health crisis.

ddttwo2 - So true! Anyone walking outside @ 2am should be shot!

For heaven's sakes, PLEASE Drop the arguments about guns. These teens were MURDERED. Gun fans take any criticism that involves guns as a personal affront. People who wish there were more stringent gun laws find themselves attacked. Why the teens were out at 2 AM isn't the issue. Yes, their parents should have been more strict in curfews but I am sure there are many, many men out there who when they were teens did the same thing and didn't get shot.

These teens were murdered. Now it's time to put the murderer in prison.
