City of Lacey seeking civil service commissioner

The City of Lacey is looking to fill a void in its Civil Service Commission.

The successful candidate will fill an unexpired term ending on Oct. 1, 2029. Applicants must live within Lacey City Limits or the Lacey Urban Growth Area.

"The Lacey Civil Service Commission, a three-member board, adopts rules for the regulation of personnel matters and competitive examinations for the Lacey Police Department’s classified employees. It also hears appeals arising from the administration of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations," said the City of Lacey in announcing the vacancy.

Commissioners serve six-year terms, with a two-term limit. The commission usually meets on the first Monday of February, May, August and November at 12:15 p.m. at Lacey City Hall, 420 College St. SE. Additional meetings may be called throughout the year in addition to these standing meetings.
