MLK Day Restoration Event

Posted

Join the City of Olympia and community partners on Saturday, January 17, from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through a hands-on volunteer service project at Squaxin Park.

Volunteers will help restore critical habitat by removing invasive English ivy and spreading wood chips to prevent regrowth.

Tools, gloves, and light refreshments will be provided—just dress for the weather and wear sturdy boots.

Attendees meet at a small shelter in the southeast area of the park, with signage posted to guide you. A meaningful way to care for our shared spaces while serving the community.
