Warmer temperatures, dense fog in the Thurston County forecast

Unseasonably warm temperatures are going to heat up the local landscape over the next few days with daytime highs in the 50s.

The National Weather Service Office in Seattle forecast calls for a high near 56 degrees in Thurston County on Tuesday, Jan. 13, with a calm wind and patchy fog after 4 p.m.

The overnight low should be around 40 degrees, with a calm wind and patchy, dense fog.

The dense fog should hang around on Wednesday morning, Jan. 14, before giving way to mostly cloudy skies. The daytime high should be near 49 degrees.

The overnight low should be around 41 degrees with mostly cloudy skies.

There is no rain in the forecast through the remainder of the week. Sunny skies and daytime highs in the low 50s are on tap for the weekend. Forecasts are subject to change.
