Weather forecast calls for rain and snow showers in Thurston County

Pacific storm systems are expected to generate wintry weather over the next several days, with rain and snow showers likely overnight in Thurston County.

The National Weather Service Office in Seattle forecast calls for an overnight low around 30 degrees with rain and snow showers likely in the wee hours of Tuesday morning, Feb. 17. New snow accumulation of less than one-half inch is possible.

Rain and snow showers are also likely in the afternoon, mainly between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Little or no snow accumulation is expected. The daytime high should be near 44 degrees with a south wind of 5 to 7 miles per hour.

There is also a chance of rain and snow showers overnight from Tuesday into Wednesday, Feb. 18. The overnight low should be around 28 degrees with mostly cloudy skies and calm wind.

Rain and snow showers are likely on Wednesday between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m., then rain showers after 1 p.m. Rain showers are likely before 10 p.m. on Wednesday, followed by rain and snow showers. The overnight low should be around 29 degrees.
