Special additional events on the day after Arts Walk:
10-11:30 a.m. Song Circle for Healing & Life (Fehlya Ehrlander)
12:30-1:30 p.m. Death Journey Meditation (Bardo Drift with Olympia Poet Laureate, Ocean). Bring a yoga mat, blanket and cushion if you want to comfortably lie on the floor, or chairs are provided. (Please don't enter and disturb if late for the start).
1:30-4 p.m. Open Hours for Art Exhibit and Remembrance & Memorialization - Spend informal time at the Griever's Grotto and doing interactive memorialization activities. Art Exhibit featuring over 20 local artists. Various mediums including Paintings, photography, film, performance art, mixed media, poetry, spoken word, warm glass, paper art, book art, dance, music & song. Including Art Activities (Collage Mandala Making).
The Edge is a community hub, created by nonprofit organization Death Dancer, for all things related to death, dying, loss and living, a welcoming shared space to hang out and connect with others, a place to embrace our death and grief experiences.
They collaborate with local artists, therapists, and death professionals to offer end-of-life education, awareness, and advocacy. They are opening a new community space for dialogue and integration around mortality. You'll find visual art displays, an art workshop, a gathering and performance space, and reflective memorialization activities.
