A weather system is likely going to make for a wet midweek in Thurston County before moving out of the region and giving way to sunnier conditions.
The National Weather Service Office in Seattle forecast calls for a 100 percent chance of rain on Tuesday, April 14, with new precipitation amounts between one-quarter and one-half inch possible.
The rain should be riding a south wind of 9 to 16 miles per hour (mph) with gusts as high as 21 mph. The daytime high is going to be near 49 degrees with an overnight low around 35 degrees. A similar amount of rain is in the forecast on Tuesday evening into the next morning.
There is a 90 percent chance of precipitation on Wednesday, April 15, with new rainfall amounts between one-tenth and one-quarter of an inch possible. Higher amounts are possible in thunderstorms. The daytime high should be near 50 degrees.
Rain is likely before 11 p.m. with less than one-tenth of an inch possible The overnight low should be around 31 degrees.
The chance of rain drops to about 20 percent on Thursday, April 16. The daytime high should be near 55 degrees amid a backdrop of mostly sunny conditions. Forecasts are subject to change.
