Writer’s Workshop: Idea to Outline, January 7, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
If you’re tired of struggling to write your book and are ready to learn a new way of approaching your writing journey, join Author Coach Sage Adderley at this workshop based on her book, Idea to Outline: Unravel Old Patterns, Embrace Intuitive Structure, and Finally Write Your Book. ASHHO Cultural Community & Job Training Center: Cultural Bazaar & Resource Fair, January 7, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
ASHHO supports/centers/upholds/walks alongside Pacific Northwest, specifically a business owned by Black, Brown, LGBTQ+, or marginalized members of our community. At this event, your presence will support/uplift: Local Businesses that come from "the struggle". "There are often visible and invisible barriers that impede on Black, Brown, and marginalized business due to an array of systemic oppression. Our goal is to actively dismantle barriers and create abundant room for local vendors--and especially Black, Brown, and marginalized businesses--to thrive." Click this link for more details. 

Awaken the Chakras with Sound healing workshop, January 7, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Come set your intentions for the New Year and let's celebrate 2023 with self care! In this deeply nourishing workshop you will experience breath work, a guided chakra meditation, intention setting, chakra balancing, an individual zapphir chime attunement and a soothing crystal singing bowl concert. You will have an opportunity to release the old, welcome the new and select self care word for 2023. Kristen will have burn bowls for letting go and wisdom cards for guidance and insight. Author Talk: David Price’s The American Surveillance State, January 8, 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Join us in store Sunday, January 8th, 2023 at 5:00PM for a special Author Talk with St. Martin's University Professor of Anthropology David H. Price and his new book THE AMERICAN SURVEILLANCE STATE: How The US Spies on Dissent (out now from Pluto Press)! There will be a short talk (perhaps) and then a Q&A! It’s the Water: a brief history of the Olympia Brewing Company, January 10, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
During the 1970s, the Olympia Brewing Company was ranked the 6th-largest brewer in the nation. It was the largest private employer in Thurston County for decades, and its influence has permeated the community for well over a century. Olympia Tumwater Foundation Assistant Director Megan Ockerman presents an illustrated history of the brewery, the people who ran it, and its place as a pop culture icon. Junior League of Olympia new member open house, January 11, 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Requirements: Age 21 and identify with joining a group of women. Come join Junior League of Olympia to see what it is all about! There will be a mixer with appetizers, beverages and deserts, including a get-to-know game with prizes from local businesses. Free introduction to square dancing, January 12, 6:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.
Start 2023 off right! Get out and get moving with a free introduction to square dancing. You'll be dancing right away. Good exercise for the body and brain in a friendly atmosphere. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service Event, January 14, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Join the City of Olympia and partners in celebrating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a volunteer service project at Squaxin Park. We will be restoring crucial habitats to their intended state and improving trail surfaces. Tools, gloves, and light refreshments will be provided. Dress for the weather and wear your boots! We will meet at a small shelter in the park's southeast area. Directional signs will be posted. Click this link for more details. 

Design: 3d Modeling with Fusion 360, January 14, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Learn introductory concepts of 3D Modeling and how it connects to 3D Printing in this 4-hour course! Start with 2D sketches to 3D models. REQUIRED: Bring your own laptop with Fusion 360 installed. Click this link for more details.
