Widespread dense fog in the Thurston County forecast

Another round of dense fog should greet early morning risers before gradually clearing out of Thurston County and giving way to clearer skies as the workweek progresses.

The National Weather Service Office in Seattle forecast calls for widespread dense fog, mainly before 10 a.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 4, and then a slow clearing. The daytime high should be near 60 degrees with a calm wind.

Patchy fog should creep in later in the evening with an overnight around 38 degrees with a calm wind.

The outlook improves for Thursday, Feb. 5, with mostly sunny skies, a high near 57 degrees and a north, northeast wind around 6 miles per hour in the afternoon. The overnight low should be about 37 degrees.

Conditions should be similar on Friday, Feb. 6, with a daytime high near 57 degrees amid a backdrop of partly sunny skies.

The weekend looks like it could be wet with rain likely moving in on Saturday, Feb. 7, and sticking around through Monday, Feb. 9. Forecasts are subject to change.
