The Thurston County Auditor’s Elections Division has mailed out more than 20,000 ballots to registered voters in the Yelm area for the upcoming April 23 Special Election.

These ballots are designated for residents within the Yelm Community Schools district.

If any registered voter hasn't received their ballot by Wednesday, April 10, they are urged to contact the Elections Division by phone at 360.786.5408 or by email.

Military and overseas voters registered in Thurston County, had their ballots dispatched on Friday, March 22.

The Elections Division has established five secure ballot drop boxes across the county, the locations of which are detailed in the materials sent with the ballots and are also available online.

Ballots must be postmarked by April 23 to be counted.

No postage stamp is required to mail the ballot, and voters are advised to be mindful of their mailbox pickup times.

In case voters miss the pickup time, ballot drop boxes remain open until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, Election Day.

Starting April 3, the Thurston County Auditor’s Elections Division will be a designated voting center during business hours.

This center offers various services, including voter registration, updates to existing registrations, ballot issuance, and the use of voting assistance devices.
