Felix Quichocho Aguon, 46, of Lacey, was taken into custody on Friday, June 25 after being spotted by Walmart’s asset protection as he and his wife, Dyliene Jo ‘nee Paloma Mesa began scanning multiple items correctly, but did not scan all of the items in their cart.

The entire theft was $109.58, and compromised of shoe racks, a sheet set and a plastic shelf.

Aguon was intercepted by Walmart’s asset protection who admitted that he was the one who scanned the items with incorrect tags. Aguon also told Walmart asset protection that he had been caught for stealing a couple of years prior when he was homeless and that he wasn’t going to let his daughter or wife go to jail for the theft.

Aguon was then contacted by Lacey police.

Aguon told LPD that he “wanted to steal” and pointed to the multiple items in the shopping cart that he had moved past the self check-out and out of the store, stopped only by Walmart asset protection.

Lacey police officers also spoke with Aguon’s wife, Mesa, who said that she knew that the items taken had not been scanned.

While searching Aguon, a small bag of white crystalline methamphetamine was discovered in Aguon’s front left pocket, according to the police report.

Aguon was booked into the Nisqually jail for theft.
