South Puget Sound Community College’s (SPSCC) cybersecurity club is in the top ten percent of competing colleges and universities nationwide in an anti-hacking competitive league.

According to an SPSCC press release, its Mad Hatter’s Club, made up of students from its Computer Science, Cybersecurity and Network Administration, and Software Development programs, competed in the National Cyber League (NCL) Fall 2023 Competition Season, where they ranked 43rd out of 510 competitors.

The NCL website says the competition “provides students with experience in solving real-world cybersecurity challenges such as identifying hackers from forensic data, pen-testing and auditing vulnerable websites, recovering from ransomware attacks, and more.”
