Poetry in Motion, Beauty & Passion, and Winter Jazz

South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) Music Department students will hold three concerts, Poetry in Motion, Beauty & Passion, and Winter Jazz in March.

All three performances will be at the Kenneth J. Minaert Center for the Arts Main Stage.

Beauty & Passion features Mozart’s spirited overture to The Abduction from the Seraglio, Puccini’s moving intermezzo from Manon Lescaut, and Kalinnikov’s soaring Symphony No. 1. SPSCC Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Nickolas Carlson, will play this concert on March 16 at 7:30 p.m.

The last concert, Winter Jazz, celebrates the end of the winter season. The SPSCC Jazz Band and Jazz Combo will join this concert on March 19 at 7:30 p.m.

Admission is free for SPSCC students, staff, and faculty. For the general public, there is a suggested $15 donation at the door for admission. More information is available on the college’s Arts & Entertainment webpage.
