Motorists are advised to find alternate routes when passing through Tumwater on Monday as the city celebrates Independence Day with a parade from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In a press statement issued by the city, starting 8:30 a. m., traffic at Linderson Way from Israel Road to West Lee Street and Capitol Boulevard will be closed except for emergency vehicles for the road to serve as a meeting point for the parade.
Starting at 10:30 a.m., the procession will move along Capitol Boulevard from West Lee Street to Israel road and back to Linderson Way.
Traffic will be closed along those roads and will reopen at 1 p.m.
